Mission
Today, the handloom sector is one of the largest unorganized sectors in India, and it is an important part of the rural and semi-rural economy. We want to help artisans in the handicraft and textile industry by providing them with technical assistance and exposure to international markets to create sustainable livelihoods opportunity for the families working in this sector to preserve our culture and heritage.
Vision
The most significant impact on the handloom industry would be meeting the demands of the market. Hunar-a-Banaras is committed to preserving our rich culture and heritage, and we want to help artisans thrive by training them and providing them with the resources they need to be successful.

Hunar-A-Banaras Activities
The organization is working hard to develop the sector so that it can be as successful as possible. Artisans face many challenges when trying to grow their businesses, such as lack of funding, low penetration of technology, and a lack of market intelligence. However, they have the advantage of a well-developed institutional framework that can help them grow.
Hunar-a-Banaras is helping artisans/weavers from the handicraft and textile industries with skill development and capacity building through technological interventions, ultimately creating livelihood opportunities for families working in the industry and preserving our culture and heritage.
